It lingered, which was nice. I do think the hard texture was a product of the expiration date. I can't believe it was still on the shelf, because February was awhile ago. It didn't seem to affect the taste though. I'm still a bit miffed that they (Hershey, who bought the company) closed the original factory in Berkeley, CA. I visited there twice and it smelled fantastic. <br />But they still make the chocolate in the USA, East Coast.
